About Me

Professional Profile

Therapy is much more than a couch and cup of tea. Accepting help is not a sign of weakness, it is a sign of grace. As a licensed therapist my goal is to offer you a comfortable, safe, and hopefully exciting place to work on you.

Whatever it is that brought you here, is less important than the person you are destined to become. I challenge you to take that leap of faith and actualize your potential.

Clinical Experience

I have been working as a therapist since 2009. In my journey of supporting individuals, I have gained a wealth of experience in providing one-on-one therapy. My time spent working in diverse agency settings has empowered me with a comprehensive toolbox to cater to the unique needs of a wide range of clients. I am deeply committed to my own growth as a therapist, constantly seeking new insights and skills, so that I may offer nothing but the best therapeutic care to my clients, nurturing their well-being and facilitating their personal transformations

Clinical Specialties

With great empathy and dedication, I center my clinical practice around promoting well-being and resilience in individuals. My therapeutic interests span a broad spectrum, encompassing trauma, first responder stress, anxiety, depression, self-worth, life transitions, stress, LGBTQ+, gender specific and nonbinary challenges, addiction, mood disorders, relationship and marital concerns, non-traditional relationships, and adolescent stressors. By creating a safe space for exploration and healing, I strive to empower individuals to overcome obstacles, discover their inner strengths, and cultivate fulfilling lives.

CBT & Person Centered

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a problem-focused, action-oriented style of talk therapy that focuses on thoughts, feelings and actions. CBT aims to help identify and challenge and change thinking and behavioral patterns that cause distress by replacing those thoughts and behaviors with adaptive, healthy thoughts, feelings and behavioral patterns.

Person-Centered Therapy is a client focused approach that is concentrated on creating a therapeutic environment that fits the unique personality of each client. It emphasizes honoring and preserving client’s autonomy and choice, as well the client’s
role as an active participant in all aspects of therapy. Ultimately, with the combination of these two types of therapy, we work on your goals, build on your strengths, and do what works for you.

More about Me

I love to travel and have spent a lot of time exploring new cities. Whether its zip-lining in the Caribbean, navigating the Venice canals or sleeping in a teepee on an organic stone farm in Portugal, I have quite an adventurous soul. I am a crafter at heart, but often find myself posting to a site called “pinterest gone wrong”. I also enjoy spending time with my niece and nephews building with legos and stepping on a few too. Being a fall baby, I enjoy everything fall except the pumpkin spice latte.

Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor

I am a dually licensed mental health and substance abuse counselor. I have experience working with individuals who struggle with chemical and behavioral addictions.
